Mississippi’s rich abundance of cultural and historical resources is held by institutions and repositories all across the state. Our mission at the Mississippi Digital Library is to provide a unified portal to search and explore the wealth of materials available in Mississippi.

Whether your research needs are academic or personal, you will find a broad range of items and topics to investigate. Our collections represent more than 150 years of history and culture from Mississippi’s Delta to the Gulf Coast. From photographs to oral histories, the treasures contributed to the Mississippi Digital Library exhibit the incredible diversity of resources that can be found in the state.

For our member institutions we try to make the contribution process as easy as possible. We provide guidelines, general instuctions, and help with digitizing and metadata creation. We are committed to helping all of our partners find the most efficient way of participating in the Mississippi Digital Library.
